December Holiday Party

Every year we hold our Pack’s December Holiday Party. Gina Bowman has done a phenominal job at coordinating the Holiday Party for the past couple years.

The scouts rotate to different stations which involves a craft, a game, snacks and meeting Santa. All the scout families seemed to have enjoyed this year’s party.

Thank you Gina for another great party.

Pack Halloween Party

Every year the Pack has a Halloween Party instead of the usual Pack Meeting. Gina Bowman is the Pack Party Planner and has done a great job once again on the Halloween Party.

There are tables set up with different activities for the scouts and their siblings to enjoy. This year we had Pumpkin Bowling, Monster Hands, Snacks, Candy Toss and Digging for Worms.

We also had a Costume contest for the Best, Scariest and a Sibling contest.

There was a table set up for the Pumpkin Carving contest.

The scouts and families seemed to have had the Halloween Spirit once again this year.

Pumpkin Chunkin’

This year’s Webelos II scouts were invited by Troop 18 to join them in the Pumpkin Chunkin’ competition.

Some of the scouts went over to Mr. Unger’s house to cut the trees down and help assemble the Trebuchet. A couple night’s last week some of the scouts got together to test the Trebuchet.

The day of the competition, Saturday, October 24, 2009, the scouts left for an all day rain event. Their first pumpkin launch went through one of the windows. What a way to start the day!

In the afternoon, their was a distance competition. Our group’s longest shot was 150 feet. Unfortunately, another Troop came in with 250′ at the end of the day.

Even though it had rained all day the scouts had seemed to have enjoyed it.

World Conservation Project

On Saturday September 17th, 2009, the scouts were invited to work on their World Conservation badges. We had a great turn out for this event with 16 scouts, several leaders and many parents in attendance.

We wanted to do something for the school since they allow us to hold our den meetings and pack meeting there every week. The scouts went around the school and collected the trash on the school grounds. The scouts collected four garbage bags of trash. Way to go Scouts!
